Thea
Our mission

We're giving healthcare back its most human moment

Zenthea exists for one reason: so that when a clinician sits with a patient, nothing comes between them. Not a screen, not a form, not the system. The technology should disappear. The care should not.

The problem

Clinical software was built for billing, not for care

For two decades, EHRs turned clinicians into data-entry clerks. The result is an epidemic of burnout, late-night charting, and patients who feel unseen. The tools meant to help became the heaviest part of the day.

0 hrs

spent on the EHR for every hour of direct patient care, in many practices.

0%

of clinicians report symptoms of burnout, and documentation load is a leading driver.

#0

reason clinicians cite for leaving practice: administrative burden, not the medicine.

Figures reflect widely reported industry context on EHR burden and clinician burnout, shown to frame the problem we set out to solve.

What we believe
“If we make the administrative layer invisible, clinicians get their attention back, and patients get their clinician back. That's not a feature. It's the whole point.”
The founding belief behind Zenthea
How we build

Four principles guide every decision

01

A human in the loop, always

Thea drafts and prepares, but a clinician reviews and signs every clinical action. AI is a capable assistant, never the decision-maker.

02

Mobile-first, like real care

Care happens at the bedside and on the move. Zenthea is built for the phone in your pocket first, the desktop second.

03

Compliant by design

HIPAA and GDPR alignment isn't bolted on. Deny-by-default access and append-only audit are part of the architecture.

04

Calm by default

No alarm fatigue, no clutter. Zenthea is quiet, warm, and gets out of the way. Software that lowers the temperature of the day.

The team

The people building Zenthea

Decades of building and scaling companies, pointed at a problem we've each watched up close. Nobody ships clinical software from the sidelines here.
